Anna McDowell has been working with children, young people and their families for over 20 years. During this time Anna has gained a reputation for being a strong advocate for the safety and well-being being of children, young people and their families.
This has been within the charity sector initially, then moving to work in council services and since 2006, in secondary education.
Anna brings her wide range of safeguarding experience to her training and case work supervision/professional reflective practice. Using interactive and engaging methods she helps participants understand the complexities of safeguarding. This enables participants to develop their confidence ensuring that professionals at all levels are able to carry out their safeguarding duties knowing that they are acting in the best interest of the child.
Anna is qualified to the NSPCC Training For Trainers in Child Protection standard and holds the certificate of competency.
